Norwegian Winter Workshop on QCD in Extreme Conditions

Trondheim, Norway, Wednesday 24th February - Friday 26th February 2010


The workshop starts Wednesday morning and ends Friday at noon

    Registration and conference fee


    Registration is now closed. Since space is limited, participation will be upon selection. Applicants will be notified before December 15.
    There will be no fee. We will be able to offer coffee/tea/cookies twice a day. Hungry? Cafeteria on campus . A workshop dinner will be organized Thursday evening.
    Support for nordic students is available from Nordforsk. Limited support will be available for junior participants.


    Travel information

    There are direct flights to Trondheim from Copenhagen (SAS), Stockholm (SAS), London/Stanstead (Norwegian), Prague (Norwegian), Oslo (SAS and Norwegian), and Amsterdam (KLM).

    The airport in Trondheim (Værnes) is located approximately 35km from the city center. It is easy to get to your hotel from the airport. There is an airport shuttle (flybussen) that leaves approximately every 15 min. It stops 50m from the hotel and the bus stop is called "Prinsen kinosenter". A single ticket/return ticket is 90/150 NOK. Airport shuttle information

    Hotel

    45 single rooms have been reserved at Comfort park hotel at the rate of 912NOK pr. night. Earlier, a rate of 844NOK was announced. Prices were increased as of January 1 and the rate is 912NOK. We cannot do anything about since the rate we are given is based on a general agreement between the hotel and NTNU. We apologize for the confusion and the inconvenience.

    Please book the room yourself using the reference NWWQCDEC. The reservation of the rooms will be cancelled four weeks prior to the workshop and we can no longer guarantee housing.     Program and list of particpants

    We plan to have 6-7 invited talks and a number of contributed talks. The number of participants is limited to approximately 40.
    We kindly ask the speakers for a copy of the talk so we can put it on the web page of the workshop.

    Conference dinner

    The conference dinner will take place at Kvilhaugen gård . Dinner is free for the participants of the workshop (excluding wine, beer etc). We will organize transportation by bus from the hotel to the restaurant. The bus leaves at 7.15pm and returns to the hotel at 11pm.


    Leisure activities:
