Topical 5: Green Engineering and Sustainability in the Pharmaceutical Industry

Session 13 - Benign / Safer Solvents In Pharmaceutical Processing
This session will provides an opportunity to discuss the development and use of benign / safer solvents in the pharmaceutical and specialty chemical industry. Papers discussing recent advances, fundamentals, and industrial applications are welcome at the session. Topics include current practices in the use of benign / safer solvents as well as emerging trends and future directions. Case studies assessing the environmental improvements resulting from using greener solvents and associated processes are welcome.
