Session 6 - Centennial Convocation/Welcome (Sunday afternoon)
The Convocation serves as the opening ceremonies for the Centennial Meeting of the AICHE in Philadelphia. On Sunday afternoon at four-o-clock the whole community , including undergraduate students from AIChE chapters and professional attendees) will gather together to inaugurate the festivities, be entertained and leave inspired. Highlights of the festivities include a video depicting important people, places and things in the history of chemical engineering, a guest appearance by one the first CHE's in the USA, "Ben Franklin," greetings from foreign dignitaries, and an address by Robert Brown, President of Boston University, entitled "Living with the Reynolds Transport Theorem: The Expanding Impact of ChEmical Engineering”
