397a CO-Lan Actions In 2008 and Perspectives for 2009

Ray Dickinson, Shell Global Solutions International B.V., Amsterdam, Netherlands and Michel Pons, CAPE-OPEN Laboratories Network, 32, rue Raulin, F-69007, Lyon, France.

The CAPE-OPEN standards are supported and maintained by the CAPE-OPEN Laboratories Network (CO-LaN), a not-for-profit organization of 70+ members, most of them process simulation software vendors.

In 2008, CO-LaN has engaged in a major effort to test systematically all the combinations of available Process Modelling Environments and Process Modelling Components. Results of this effort will be documented.

Further development of the CAPE-OPEN Logging and Testing Tool (COLTT) has been launched with the objective to make this tool even more helpful to the interoperability tests performed.

Plans for 2009 will be outlined.
