Eric L. Maase, Chemical Engineering Department, Lafayette College, Acopian Engineering Center Rm 268, 740 High St., Easton, PA 18042

As instructional environments gradually move closer to each student having access in the classroom to a computers available on the desks new opportunities and new challenges for both the instructors and the students become evident. In a specific lab environment, during a course in chemical engineering computing, students' computers are connected to the classrooms' overhead projection system with the specific student or instructor's computer projected according to the instructor's direction. The challenges and unique aspects of implementing such an environment are discussed in the context of teaching and engaging students with the materials of a chemical engineering computational methods course.
