In my research, I seek to apply fundamental engineering concepts and advanced biological processes to help solve meaningful societal problems. One significant challenge the world faces is the need for clean, renewable energy sources. My research will focus on the development and optimization of biological processes for the production of affordable, environmentally-friendly renewable energy. My goal is to consistently complete hypothesis-driven research based on scientifically sound experimental design and implementation while maintaining the integrity of the engineering profession.
