Our laboratory recently developed a novel process for simultaneous milling and coating particulates using fluid energy mills. The novel process dramatically improves the production efficiency and eliminates usage of organic solvents. In this study, the particle surface coating process is simulated using software PFC 3D 3.1 (Minneapolis, Itasca, MN). The dependence of coating efficiency on the bond strength, particle size and particle number is investigated. The simulation results indicate that bond strength plays a vital role in the coating process
