Abstract

Climate control is one of the principal reasons to use a Greenhouseto crop production. In general the control task requires of a dynamic model ofthe Greenhouse climate. There are different Greenhouse climate models in theliterature which consider not only the air and soil temperature but also the effectof the crop, CO2 concentration, and humidity. In this work it is proposed anextension to the Greenhouse climate model given by (Tap, 2000). The proposedextension considers the effect of humidity in the air temperature as well as someterms related to the use of nebulizers, shade cloth and fan. The proposed model isvalidated using measurements of a Greenhouse in north west Mexico. The resultsshow that the proposed model is adequate to simulate the climate behavior of theGreenhouse.
