Abstract

An optimal experiment design problem invoked by the Cramer-Rao Inequality is applied tothe problem of quantum state tomography. The optimization problem is integer-combinatorialand we use an established relaxation which results in a convex programming problem whosesolution can be used to guide a more efficient experiment.
