Abstract

This paper deals with the control of heat exchangers. Due to the resonant effect on this systems, simplified lumped parameters models obtained from the step response can be not enough appropriate tocontroller design if high performance is required. To design the control, instead of looking for aprecise heat exchanger model obtained through complex experiments and sophisticated parameterestimation methods, the use of an iterative approach is suggested.
